Abstract

In the ongoing development of technology and econony. So therefore the library must take advantage of this information technology accurately, this research objective is to invent UI / UX for the SMA Al-Chasanah library website utilizing the User Centered Design (UCD) method. SMA Al-Chasanah, faces challenges in library management which is still manual in writing using books, difficulties such as losing data and difficulty searching for books. With the UCD approach, website design is developed regarding on user needs to revamp user experience. This process involves identification of needs, prototyping, and testing with the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The test outcomes involving 31 respondents revealed an average SUS score of 80.64, that was classified as “acceptable” and “good”. The designed prototype includes main features such as collection search, borrowing, and returning. The results show that the UCD method is effective for understanding user needs, producing intuitive designs, and increasing user satisfaction. In conclusion, the actualization of the UCD method in the UI/UX design of the library website is able to meet user demands and arrange solutions to the issues of the Al-Chasanah High School library.
